Thanks. There is a good chance the wiring diagram posted for the 3 amp charging system is not correct. Notice the headlamps are powered by their own stator winding and only work with the engine running. Posted April 26, 2015. One of the stator leads should have a diode after it comes out of the tinwork and usually right before a connector that mates with the tractor harness. Wire with diode goes to the battery. Wire without the diode goes to the light circuit only. Garry.
