Yes the Legion is more "refined", because it uses "some" aftermarket parts, giving it an advantage, but also the higher price. The M11A1 is more utilitarian, with corrosion resistant internals, meaning phosphate coated/Parkerized which results in a rougher finish, and a "less smooth" trigger pull.

This could be caused by a weak magazine spring or a sticky follower. I have seen several M11-A1 magazines that shipped with very a viscous preservative on the inside of the magazine body. Try cleaning the inside of the magazine and confirm the follower moves freely along the entire length of the body.
