The 403 had the same gearing as the 414 climber. It had 48 teeth on the second jackshaft sprocket. The standard 404 had 40 teeth and was a little faster. It may not be fast but it will not give up on a hill. Replacing a worn belt may give you a bit more speed but these gotes weren't built to race.
