The Shaped Glass is one of the few items in the game that give a straight-up base damage boost to you. However, by holding the Shaped Glass you make your character into a glass canon. It increases your base damage by a whopping 100 percent, however, it also reduces your maximum health by 50 percent.
If you pick up shaped glass you need to be constantly healing so grabbing a harvester sycthe and crit goggles or any other healing combo. They work well together! Maybe you don't have enough heals to fully see aegis in action. Aegis makes aegis useless. Trying to get a really high single damage number. At that point my equipment cool down was 1 second on everything. If you rely on dodging most of the attacks, transcendence can prevent you from dying in one/two hits later in the game. You can also use it to help counter the effects of shaped glass.
