I also have an AC556 & a Mini-14. It been common knowledge since first quarter of 2010, that Ruger has run out of parts for the AC556. In fact they also have run out of parts for my 20 year old Mini-14. Most manufactures do not keep parts around for ever and that includes Ruger.
