So it’s a year later and I finally have both an RMR and a P2. I’d say the P2 window is actually the smaller of the two. I also have a MPS and if the battery life were better on that thing it would be the winner. It’s window size is very nice, about 25% bigger than the Acro, it sits lower and has clearer glass.
OP • 2 yr. ago. I actually initially started off with a 3 MOA RMR. Then switched to the Holosun due to my slight astigmatism. The green reticle is super crisp compared to the RMR’s red blotch dot. The SRO’s large window makes it easy to acquire targets. The adjustments can drift but it’s more reliable than the DPP. The DPP has a better window in clarity but it’s a little smaller. It seems to have a lifetime warranty but you are more likely to need it than with the SRO’s 5 year warranty. Honestly, there really isn’t a “correct” or “wrong” choice.

Some slides or plates will have recoil lugs to utilize the matching holes on the optic while other designs do not. Optics that utilize this footprint include: Trijicon - RMR and SRO; Holosun – 507C, 407C, 508T, 507 Competition; Swampfox – Kingslayer ... The SRO isn’t an RMR. It does not replace what the RMR can do. It occupies a different space in the red dot hierarch. It is not designed for “Duty Use” in regards to primary emphasis on extreme durability.
