Having said that, though, the GTS probably has a softer edge to it still. Also the -30mm isn't super low compared to other cars on the market. And conversely, the GTS won't have quite the suspension of the GT4, but it will still handle extremely well and is still very capable obviously on the track.
My understanding is that most of the choices that increase resale value are anathema to my enjoyment. Now it's real and about 1 month out from delivery. Only thing missing on this Build Code is the Deviated stitching.You should be able to get an allocation - they plan on producing gts 4.0 for awhile longer. Given the difficulty getting GT4 allocations I'm guessing the RS will be unobtainable for most with huge ADMs. 9k redline and great sound in that video. I'm hoping it is PDK only, otherwise, I'll have some serious buyers remorse since I already ordered a GT4.
Anyway, getting back to Emira vs GT4. If you can get both at MSRP, the GT4 is a better buy from a financial perspective. However, if you're buying to enjoy, nothing else on the road will look like or drive like a Lotus (Emria), whereas most Porsche's pretty much look the same to the untrained eye.

The better part of a year later, D1 shows up with a GTS 4.0 allocation but wanted a $15k ADM, more than 3x what they originally suggested. I declined to wait for a GT4. Another 6 months later they come in with a GT4 allocation, but with a $25k markup (which would've put my build at $150k, which was almost twice what I'd paid for my 981 GT4).
