If you have mountain areas that you have already explored before the update, the Frost caves will not spawn there. They will only spawn in an area which you have not yet explored. Also they can be difficult to spot sometimes. Eventually you'll come across a mountain that will have like 8 or 9 Frost Caves. You'll need frost resist potions. Craft the best bow you can make (finewood is probably...fine) and a bunch of arrows. If you have a stagbreaker, bring that. If you have the stuff to make ooze bombs, make some of those. Eat 1 hp, 1 stam, and 1 balanced food. Get back to the cave - the entrance is safe.
