Seems that the fuel primer/enrichment solenoid was shot and was pumping gas into the carb all the time. The idle screw had been turned way up to get the carb to process the extra fuel without choking out. $160 plus labor.

I purchased the Evinrude wiring harness that plugs right into the harness plug off of my throttle box. Easy enough right? What concerns me is that the Faria instructions say for an 88 and 112 hp a voltage regulator is recommended. It also says a system check tach or 2" gauge is REQUIRED.
