Jan 8, 2012 · I switched from EDC Glock 23 to the Kimber Pro Carry II then after about a year I obtained a Ultra RCP II and it has become my EDC. All in .45 ACP. I kept my Glocks as I like the platform but those damm 1911's keep calling me back. I have even switch from my IDPA gun a Glock 35 to a S&W 1911 9mm Pro, just to keep the platforms the same, 1911 style.

Also, if you like all black and all steel, the Super Carry Ultra HD is another option. Other than that they are very much similar.I have a Pro CDP as well as an Ultra Raptor and Ill be darned if I feel the Ultra shoots better than the Pro. I am sure someone else would problably shoot the Pro better than the Ultra. It does not matter all that much really, they both shoot very, very, well. I carry them both. I purchased a used Super Carry Ultra that had obvious dings and scratches on the slide finish. Sent it to the Mothership for a complete rebuild, including a slide refinish.
