It's a Staccato. But what you're paying for is not a super concealable carry gun. You're paying for fit, finish, the best 2011 carry-oriented (aka, not super rough) grip on the market today, the amazing Staccato trigger, optic ready, and a new slimmer grip (compared to C2 and other 2011s) with a 16 round flush-fit magazine. I got it as a gift to myself to be used as a USPSA competition pistol and all around fun gun, that I can enjoy. I have other pistols for edc and competitions as well, but nothing that shoots like an XC…One of my carry pieces is the single stack version. Great shooter and light. 8 + 1 is plenty enough for me, if not I have the wilson x9s that accepts 15+1 in a subcompact package that will outshoot the staccato. Both great carry pistol that shoot really great. I like the c2 but I'm thinking of getting rid of it.I already knew that liked the way the 2011 shot, so I chose the Staccato. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.

rangerhi • 7 mo. ago. Don't ever drop the slide on an empty chamber in any 1911 or 2011. It will wreck the trigger job and possibly some of the internals. Also, don't let the hammer drop with the slide off while cleaning. Make sure and ride it forward by hand, so you don't accidentally pull the trigger while cleaning.Probably the new "C". With the sub 4" barrel the CS is a better carry option, IMHO, maybe not the best range or home defense. The C2 is just to thick and blocky in the grip for me.
