Prusa's organic support are based on the new algorithm (by u/Thomas_Rahm), but they improve it a bit further by making the branches smoother and rounder for stability (which is what makes them "organic"). On the few that I've tried, Prusa Slicer forces the object to ground on the build plate. Then after printing, the organic supports near the ground point are small & dense - extremely difficult to remove & leave a rough surface. All other supports contacting the object further away from the build plate can be removed easily & leave an almost ...Its either on or off. There are parameters of course like the minimum travel after retraction, retract on layer change etc but nothing relating to specific feature types. Prusa Slicer does have a search function so its easy to pull up a list of any setting with retract in the name.
