Nov 17, 2020 · I have a 2005 Xterra and I am having problem diagnosing the issues. First I have four dash board lights on, and they are ABS, VDC,SLIP and the Check Engine. Secondly, the rear tires are dragging when reversing or turning. I took it to AutoZone and used their scanner and received code P0420 and P0430 - Catalytic converter system.

The result was a bad crank position sensor!! It's a $25 part and was replaced within 1.5 hours!! No more stalling or lights on my dash!

Ok soccerbrace, here goes straight from the 2006 Xterra Owners manual: Start the engine and set the steering wheel in the straight forward position.
