Anadi + Monk + some movement skill feats = medieval Spider-Man. Insanely fun, especially if you flavour things like Flying Kick as webbing to your foe, and then pulling yourself forward so they have a foot in their jaw.Witch/Wizard - More INT based spells. Take Arcane to use your Magus proficiencies. Archer - Offers a couple options for actions when spellstrike isn't available but avoid the stances which you cannot use with Arcane Cascade. Beastmaster - This can be used to get a mount to increase your mobility or as a flanking partner for allies.Gunslinger - Vanguard. The first build of Barret was a bit more complicated - a fighter utilizing a one-handed firearm and a shield. It worked mechanically, but it was clunky and weird to imagine. The Vanguard Gunslinger way is a lot more clear - with one caveat: it requires a two-handed firearm.

Without the Magus, this might have been a TPK for us. Nobody else in the group had single target frost or water attacks. We can theory craft about the differences in the builds all day, but boy oh boy does Magus bring more tools and spike damage to the table. Could have an Eldritch Archer done comparable damage? Not at level 8.I am fairly new to Pathfinder (coming over from years of D&D 5e) and I am having a lot of trouble finding guidance for a good weapon for the Magus class. I am using a Dex-based build, so I chose an Elven Curved Blade for my weapon (it has Finesse and deals 1d8 damage). However, I just saw today that it is a 2-handed weapon.Pop Culture Pathfinder is a hobby site dedicated to showcasing pf2e builds from pop culture. This will give Zelda the option of firing a few arrows in some rounds - perhaps light arrow infused ones. Those two ideas will also stand in for the flavor of her Heals, which she isn't normally depicted with.

It's hard to say which type of dedication is better than the other. For instance i have a build for a Gnome Starlit Magus that uses a Halfling sling and becomes a personal mortar/trebuchet. Just a silly idea that optimizes pretty well. I could go down Fighter or Archer for Point-Blank Stance; since Starlit's Arcane Cascade is practically trash.

Flurry of blows, beefier than a typical magus, better dex saves (he is level 12, so he's gotten a lot from this) The monk speed helps with the magus action economy because issues. Generally been just a super fun build. Yes, a Magus would lose the ability to cast spells with slots they trade out as they level up. Thankfully the Studious Spells class feature gives them a third (albeit lower) spell level they can use with a stave, but it's an interesting intersection of the rules for sure. A Magus would likely have to invest in a custom stave to get the most out ...So a Magus can channel touch spells through a melee weapon. Often this involves defense casting, which can be dicey in pathfinder without investing feats and traits. So, for one feat (or trait w/ heirloom weapon) (plus weapon finesse, which you may have taken anyway) you can get a whip with 15 foot range, and hold it in a hand equipped with a cestus to allow AOO's against adjacent enemies.Tony + Cave + Scraps = Iron Man. Iron Man's origin is a unique mix of necessity and ingenuity. Tony drew upon his genius-level IQ, his weapons expertise as heir to Stark Industries and his fight or flight response to get out of that cave. Iron Man evolved from there - both technically and emotionally.

You don't really need to do a special build for it. No class can use Constitution as a primary stat so it'll always be a bit below the max of another stat but you can get it 22 easily enough. If you really wanna go beefcake, then orc with Hold Scarred Heritage and Animal Instinct Barbarian makes sense.A magus tank is squishier than a champion or monk, but you can make this work. I'd pick up the Sentinel archetype at level 2 and start wearing heavy armor. This makes the dwarf feat Unburdened Iron really good, and you can pick it up at level 3 with Ancestral Paragon or at level 1 instead of Cindersoul. There's also a 2nd level feat that lets you use area spells. If you have a reach or ranged build, you can shoot those area spells in different directions than other casters. The eldritch archer is an old dnd mainstay with a great theme. Given what we've seen of the magus so far, it seems to me like they were using the eldritch archer to test out some of the earlier concepts, particularly spell strike (eldritch shot). Spells: Horizon Thunder is a decent alternative to Shocking Grasp. It's more versatile (although spell attack w/o spellstrike is going to hurt) and the damage is less swingy, but you lose the persistent damage against metal wearing enemies (I'm assuming the +1 doesn't matter, since your using the spellstrike role). They enjoy learning new things, collecting new tales and trinkets, and ensuring their loved ones are safe and happy. You won't be a full gunslinger, so won't have your way reload until later levels to help even out your action economy. And Magus in general is already pretty action starved. Starlit is less so than the melee centric ones, but spellstrike being 2 actions makes it tough to fit in reload actions.
