The best build I've used so far is a pyromancy build. I used great chaos fire orb and cataclysm the most. Each is enough to one shot most basic enemies including black knights. Sacred flame and profaned flame were also amazing. My stats were 30 vigor, 40 attunement, 20 endurance, 8 vitality, 10 strength, 15 dex, 40 intelligence, and 40 faith.It's a fairly standard strength build, in fact, probably close to the most used strength build at meta levels. I'm more a fan of the greatsword because of its reduced weight (though the cathedral dominates in min reqs at low levels), and its super important R2, which sweeps. Especially with a vertical R1 moveset, it really needs a roll catch.

Most Weapon have poise frames (Attack animation where you need a certain treshold of Poisedamage to be staggered) Good with faith miracles since you take mostly more dmg with a poise build and you have buffs on your side. DEX = Fast and deadly weapon combos. Mostly middle armor and often affinity with bleed.
