Anyway, yes, Mystic Knights ranged options are irritating to access. If you want Sword and Ranged, go Assassin. If you want Shield and Ranged, go Mystic Knight. Fighter gets an evasive attack skill that gets damage boosted when dodging an attack. Mystic Knight gets a whole host of elemental augments that makes the shield hurt enemies when they attack.
