Many Cragheart guides recommend focusing on its ranged abilities, but that would harm the synergy with the Scoundrel. 3. Mindthief Growth is a trap, move 4 and low initiative is what cragheart lacks. I play on the hardest difficulty and Explosive Punch is just so much better. Sentient Growth looks good, but does too little on higher difficulty. Just my opinion. Also, I always read that people don't like long rests and see them as losing a turn.

Not sure how popular this opinion is, but as someone who just started playing Gloomhaven, I really appreciate the alternate builds. Honestly, nothing against the creator of the original Cragheart guide, as I'm sure it suits a lot of players, but the alt build is much more interesting to me (just my opinion) than another ranged build.

Mindthief : She's a melee glass canon. With 10 cards, you can afford a loss from time to time, but don't be too aggressive. As a melee glass canon, you need to learn initiative dancing. Act late (after the monsters), move in, hit the enemy. Next round, act early, hit the enemy, move far away to not get hit in return.
