Over time, most likely around celestia, you'll start to see dropped gear giving better stats. You can slowly start replacing your Mount Olympus gear with this but there isn't anymore milestone gear farming to be done until level 60. There still aren't any amulets or rings worth farming, just use bazaar ones for now.

Blades boost your damage, accuracy and pierce. They are really useful. Blades are given by your school teacher. Since you're a level 48 Ice, I suggest you go to Lydia and do the quest she's giving.
