I found a thread on a Gen5 where the hood latch sensor was causing it to detect a theft attempt because the car detected that the hood was being opened (even though it wasn't). Stand outside the car and alarm the system with the key fob. Then unlock the car with the key fob. This solved the problem for me.

The vehicles theft attempted would be activated by the door being opened.
